Objectives of the course

That students:

• Recognize the primary basic biological terms and manage to connect them with their former knowledge and their daily life.
  
  
• Are trained in the basic modus operandi of biology such as working with a microscope, gathering material, interpretation and presentation of findings.
  
  
• Are trained in utilizing computer- and informational technology in their studies.
  
  
• Develop their ability to work effectively in groups.
  
  
• Receive training in expression and presentation of the material they have worked on in connection with the curriculum of the course.

• Realize the importance of critical thinking and initiative.
